[Remote] Field Service Engineer - Nozomi
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EFI is focused on the growth and success of the print business, providing solutions and support for various printing applications. They are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site installation, training, troubleshooting, and support for their Nozomi digital printing product line, requiring national and international travel.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site installation and setup of all printers associated with the Inkjet product lines
- Give initial and ongoing formal customer operator and printer maintenance training
- Provide periodic on-site troubleshooting and repairs on printers that may be experiencing complex electrical, mechanical or pneumatic problems
- Provide detailed technical feedback and liaise regularly with our customer call center
- Provide service & support to exhibitions
- Work remotely with customers to accurately identify equipment issues and provide technical information and repair guidance to pinpoint the necessary solutions to reported issues
- Participate in after-hours support activities on a rotating basis
Skills
- Minimum two-year mechanical/electrical engineering qualification
- Previous work experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology highly preferred
- Demonstrated strong commitment to customer satisfaction
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems at the component level
- Knowledge of large format printers and/or presses and printing applications is desirable
- Knowledge of inkjet printing, color theory
- Proven ability to provide training
- Good communication skills, team-player
- Flexible for traveling within the territory and abroad, on very short notice, therefore a valid passport is required
- Fluent in English and local language
