[Remote] Field Project Manager II

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is a leading provider of power systems, rail transportation, and visual display solutions across North America. They are seeking a skilled Field Project Manager II to oversee customer projects from proposal through execution, managing schedules and coordinating with customers and subcontractors to deliver reliable power solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and projects, ensuring successful coordination from quotation through project completion
- Plan, organize, and manage proposals, documentation submittals, customer orders, schedules, and communications to keep projects on track and within budget
- Direct and supervise on-site construction activities and subcontractors during installation and maintenance service projects
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of project documentation including as-built drawings, testing results, operation manuals, and closeout packages
- Work closely with customers, subcontractors, and general contractors to ensure all project requirements and contractual obligations are met
- Prepare and review customer quotations and subcontractor scopes of work to support profitable and successful project execution
- Coordinate equipment delivery, installation schedules, commissioning activities, and startup support for assigned projects
- Assist divisional project managers and technical teams with testing, implementation, commissioning, and final system acceptance activities
- Manage project safety requirements, insurance issues, and overall compliance throughout project execution
- Prepare project status reports, conduct project meetings, and communicate updates to management, customers, and stakeholders
- Build strong customer relationships while promoting the Division’s goals through professional communication and responsive service
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of 3 years of project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Intermediate knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Intermediate knowledge of Solar inverter systems
- Intermediate knowledge of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
- Intermediate knowledge of IT cooling equipment
- Understanding of project management, construction coordination, installation, and commissioning concepts
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and project accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project materials
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project
