[Remote] Legal AI Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a Legal AI Consultant to join their cutting-edge GenAI team. The role involves guiding research teams, creating annotation standards, and ensuring high-quality training data within the legal domain.
Responsibilities
- Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance within your legal domain
- Create and maintain precise annotation standards tailored to your area of legal expertise
- Establish high-quality standards and ensure rigor in all training data as a domain SME
- Translate tacit legal expertise into explicit, teachable knowledge for AI systems
- Develop guidelines, rubrics, and evaluation frameworks to assess legal reasoning across tasks
- Design complex, domain-relevant legal tasks across multiple specializations
- Produce accurate, well-structured solutions to legal problems
- Evaluate legal tasks and solutions, providing clear and constructive written feedback
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data
Skills
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school or an advanced degree in a relevant legal field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional legal experience (excluding internships and clerkships)
- Proven ability to break down complex legal problems into clear, step-by-step explanations
- Domain expertise in one or more of the following areas: Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Law, Employment and Labor Law, Regulatory and Compliance Law, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Contract Law, Antitrust and Competition Law, International Law
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-experts
- Proven success working cross-functionally and with external stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving technology environment with a strong willingness to learn
- Experience teaching advanced legal concepts (e.g., law school instruction)
