[Remote] Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst, Supply Chain - Remote
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Harbor Freight Tools is a national tool retailer with significant growth potential. They are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Business Intelligence Analyst to support Supply Chain reporting by delivering business intelligence solutions and collaborating with operational teams to drive data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities
- Leading the development and implementation of dashboards, reports, and other data visualization tools to help us monitor and improve warehouse and supply chain performance
- Collaborating with cross-functional and operational teams to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
- Operates with a clear bias-to-action to respond to customer needs
- Working with large, complex data sets and using advanced analytics techniques to extract insights and inform business decisions
- Communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Analyzing data to identify trends and patterns and inform decision-making
- Performs and participates in root cause analysis of business problems, identifying and recommending solution alternatives, and develops reports to track key metrics and results
- Able to quickly learn and apply new technical, analytical, and operational knowledge to build better solutions
- Mentoring and guiding more junior team members in data analysis and visualization best practices
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field of business intelligence, analytics, and supply chain optimization
- Driving Business Process Improvement within the Data Science, Reporting, and Analytics team by automating reporting, re-engineering dashboards and adding proactive visibility capabilities
- Additional duties as assigned by manager
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline: Industrial Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Applied Math or Computer Science
- 6+ years of experience in a business intelligence or data analysis role, with a focus on supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations
- Strong skills in SQL and at least one BI tool such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Must have programming / scripting experience in at least one language/platform (e.g. VBA, .NET, python, Java, C, R, etc.)
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide and develop more junior team members
- Master's Degree is a plus
- Great-to-have: Previous experience working in an operational / warehouse role within a supply chain
