Merchandising and Operations Specialist About the Merchandising and Operations Specialist Role: The Merchandising and Operations Specialist works in a client facing role to manage day-to-day account operations, catalog management and brand representation of our brand owners’ e-commerce accounts across Amazon, Walmart and Target marketplaces. This position reports to the Vice President of Amazon and will work as a team with our Growth Manager, Digital Media Manager, and Design team to deliver growth for our brand owners across these platforms. The Merchandising and Operations Specialist is specifically responsible for executing best-in-class product listings, maintaining an organized catalog, troubleshooting listing and account health issues with resilience, persistence, and positivity, and fielding client frequently asked questions about platform operations and fulfillment. The Merchandising and Operations Specialist stays on top of platform and compliance updates, coaches and communicates with clients where needed, and most importantly, delivers best in class merchandising and operations processes that prime a brand’s account for growth. It is a vital role that lays the foundational catalog work for our advertising and growth team. We are looking for diligent executors who excel at communicating, prioritizing and time management. Details Scope: Full time position Location: This is a fully remote position Primary Responsibilities Merchandising and Catalog Strategy, Management & Execution across all Ecommerce Accounts (Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Marketplace and Target Marketplace) Working Closely with Voyageur Group’s Growth Manager, Design Team, Catalog Team, and Digital Media Strategy Teams to: o Set up and copywriting for new best-in-class listings and optimizing existing listings o Research competitive listings and bring ideas for listing improvement to the team o Manage applicable category approvals processes o Conduct regular merchandising audits on listings o Manage listing updates o Proactively optimize listings adding in new search filter attributes and SEO terms as they are available o Executing / rolling out catalog-wide detail page optimizations after internal detail page charrettes o Investigate downed listings and troubleshoot proactively o Manage best-in-class variations o Stay up to date on the latest compliance information and terminology for our categories to prevent downed listings o Collaborate with / assign with Voyageur Group’s internal design team to plan enhanced content roll outs or as needed design projects when they arise ● Case Log Management – Supporting team efforts and client issues by leading case log management, follow up, documentation, and resolution with Amazon Seller Support ● Account Health Support – regular monitoring of basic account health indicators and report any issues or performance notifications back to team ● Fulfillment Support for Sellers – Shipping plan coaching, help managing client issues with the fulfillment process ● Client Support – Responding to Client Frequently Asked Questions and maintaining an up-to-date boilerplate database with responses ● Leading New Client Account Launches – Coaching clients through the launch process, attending client meetings to keep the team accountable and moving forward, and executing merchandising and operations launch tasks ● Platform Knowledge – Staying on top of platform updates that affect our processes or client accounts and communicating with the broader team Secondary Responsibilities ● Identifying areas of improvement for our Merchandising & Operations processes and working collaboratively with the Manager of Merchandising & Operations and VP of Amazon to implement changes ● Other as-needed projects to advance the Merchandising & Operations Department and Voyageur Group as a growing company Qualifications: ● 3+ years of direct work experience in eCommerce merchandising and operational/supply chain management a must ● 1+ years executional experience with Amazon Vendor and/or Seller Central ideal ● Executional experience with Walmart, Target or other E-Commerce Platforms preferred but not required ● Strong organizational, time management, writing, and communication skills a must ● Strong English language communication and comprehension skills, both verbally and in writing ● Experience managing own tasks and creating new processes is essential ● Accountability and the ability to build trust is a must. Mistakes can happen, not being accountable to them cannot. Building trust is paramount for this role and for our company’s culture. ● Proficient in Excel/Office suite of products and/or Google sheets/slides/docs ● Experience and success working from home as part of a virtual, remote culture.
