Account Executive State and Local Government
Quadient is a company that supports businesses of all sizes in their digital transformation and growth journey. They are seeking an Account Executive to manage and grow their State and Local Government customer base, building trusted relationships and addressing operational challenges through tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of State and Local Government accounts
- Prospect, qualify, and close new opportunities within assigned SLED territories
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, decision‑makers, and influencers
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand agency goals, challenges, and funding timelines
- Present tailored solutions that align with government requirements and budgets
- Navigate public sector procurement processes, including RFPs and contracts (as applicable)
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting using CRM tools
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Skills
- 1–5 years of sales experience, ideally in B2B, technology, or solutions‑based sales
- Interest in or experience working with State and Local Government entities
- Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion abilities
- Exposure to CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Solid computer skills, including email and Microsoft Word
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
- Industry experience in public sector or government sales is a plus but not required
