Westinghouse Electric Company is a leader in the global nuclear energy industry, providing clean energy solutions. They are seeking a System Engineer to perform hardware design reviews, assist in system integration and testing, and ensure quality standards for nuclear safety systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform review of hardware design, review in the area of system architecture, network layout, cabinet design, system cabling interface, custom panel and kit design, cabinet power design
- Perform review of data acquisition designs including interface cabling and custom adapter designs
- Learn and understanding of component selection to meet system needs and contract deliverables
- Participate in the set-up, system modification and system integration and testing, and delivery of our Projects
- Understand and implement the quality standards applicable to nuclear safety systems
- Willing to travel and work with local customers
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with applicable years' experience drawing review, design and systems
- Minimum 1-3 years of applicable experience required
- Data acquisition hardware and software
- Entry level knowledge of circuit designs to support custom cables and interfaces
- Knowledge of Data Acquisition systems consisting of Servers, workstations, controllers, I/O modules or boards
- Experience with ACAD, 3D modeling
- Drawing review
- Experience with Cisco switches
- Experience with RTP data acquisition systems or other
- Experience with Servers and workstations
