Job Title: Sr Software Engineer Key Skills: Groovy/Jenkins Experience: 6+ years Location: Mexico Mode: Remote We at Coforge are hiring Position (21870) with the following skill set. We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong expertise in Jenkins and Groovy scripting to help improve and optimize our CI/CD pipelines. This role is focused on software engineering and build/release automation rather than cloud platform engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable CI/CD solutions, improving developer workflows, and implementing automation best practices across the software delivery lifecycle. This individual will work closely with development teams to enhance deployment processes, increase reliability, and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Groovy. Enhance and optimize existing build, test, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability. Develop reusable Jenkins shared libraries and pipeline templates. Collaborate with software engineering teams to streamline development and release workflows. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipelines and build automation. Implement best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and release management. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes within the software delivery lifecycle. Monitor and improve pipeline performance, stability, and scalability. Document CI/CD processes, standards, and operational procedures. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or related roles. Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins administration and pipeline development. Advanced experience with Groovy scripting, particularly within Jenkins environments. Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices. Experience building and maintaining automated build and deployment pipelines. Proficiency with version control systems such as Git. Experience integrating testing frameworks and quality gates into CI/CD workflows. Familiarity with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, or similar technologies. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker. Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts. Experience with infrastructure automation tools. Knowledge of software development practices and modern SDLC methodologies. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
