Key Responsibilities

Passenger Interaction & Service Delivery

  • Greet passengers with a warm, courteous demeanor at ticket counters, kiosks, and gate areas.
  • Check in travelers and verify luggage, ensuring compliance with airline policies and security regulations.
  • Provide accurate information on flight schedules, fares, gate changes, and boarding procedures.
  • Handle ticketing inquiries, re‑booking requests, and special assistance needs with empathy and efficiency.
  • Resolve customer complaints related to baggage handling, ticketing errors, or flight disruptions, turning dissatisfied passengers into loyal advocates.

Operational Coordination

  • Communicate flight movement messages between the gate, ground handling crew, flight crew, and airport vendors.
  • Make timely announcements over the public address system to keep passengers informed about boarding, delays, and other critical updates.
  • Collaborate with security personnel to ensure all passengers and luggage meet regulatory standards before boarding.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of aircraft, adhering to safety protocols and weight‑balance requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience; prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or aviation is a plus.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean record (required for certain airport locations).
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including a 10‑year employment, criminal, and residence history review.
  • Health & Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) regularly, stand for extended periods, and work safely around jet engines and airport machinery.
  • Vaccination Requirement: For locations such as San Francisco (SFO), proof of full COVID‑19 vaccination with a CDC‑approved vaccine is mandatory.
