Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized Remote Data Entry & APAC Payroll Specialist to join arenaflex’s Finance and Payroll team. This day‑shift role is primarily based in the Philippines, collaborating with colleagues across the APAC region—including Korea, Australia, and India. You will be responsible for accurate data entry, payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Your work will directly impact employee satisfaction and the financial health of our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

Data Entry & Database Management

  • Enter, verify, and update employee and payroll data in arenaflex’s HRIS (Workday) with a focus on precision and timeliness.
  • Maintain data integrity by conducting regular audits, reconciling discrepancies, and following established data‑governance protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather missing information, resolve data conflicts, and ensure completeness of records.
  • Document all data‑entry procedures and updates to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

APAC Payroll Processing

  • Execute end‑to‑end payroll runs for assigned APAC countries using a third‑party payroll provider.
  • Process weekly expense reimbursements through Workday’s host‑to‑host integration, ensuring accurate allocation and timely payment.
  • Prepare, post, and validate payroll changes—including new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments—within required timelines.
  • Submit new‑hire and leaver documentation to the payroll provider, confirming compliance with local onboarding requirements.
  • Coordinate with payroll vendors to resolve any discrepancies, corrections, or statutory filing issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries via the Zendesk ticketing system, delivering courteous and knowledgeable support.
  • Generate and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports, supporting tax filings and internal analytics.
  • Monitor payroll provider settlement dates and proactively address renewal or contract matters.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all payroll activities adhere to local labor laws, tax regulations, and arenaflex’s internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of statutory contributions, deductions, and employer liabilities for each jurisdiction.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory filings, audit documentation, and compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Philippines and Singapore finance teams to align global payroll processes and system configurations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of payroll or accounting experience in a BPO or shared‑services environment.
  • Hands‑on experience processing payroll for APAC countries, specifically Korea, Australia, and India.
  • Strong knowledge of APAC statutory payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Demonstrated expertise in using Workday HCM for payroll administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent.
  • Experience with third‑party payroll platforms and vendor management.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk or similar ticketing systems for employee support.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with distributed teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
  • Understanding of data‑privacy and confidentiality standards, especially regarding employee financial information.
