Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist
Job Description:
- Sources and procures goods and services from many suppliers
- Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and analyzes pricing
- Evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability
- Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate
- Identifies opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency
- Issues purchase orders and manages performance of purchase orders
- Ensures compliance with public law requirements and company policies
- Assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
- Ensures documentation is provided for logistics and warehouse organization
- Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed
- Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, and/or supplier management, OR a Master's degree with 0 years experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance.
- Preferred: Active US Government Secret Clearance
- Aerospace industry experience
- Price analysis experience
- Negotiation experience
- Background in government procurement with familiarity of FAR/DFARS
- Experience using SAP/S4 or similar ERP systems
