Senior Application Consultant [Delivery] - Operations Focused
The Microsoft Dynamics™ Business Central Senior Application Consultant (AC) will work with the Solution Architect in every aspect of the implementation, from analyzing the customer’s business requirements to configuring the Microsoft Dynamics™ Business Central application to meet the customer’s needs. The Senior Application Consultant communicates with the customer’s organization on many levels to understand the business processes. The analysis of the business processes may lead to changing these processes. The Senior Application Consultant works with the customer’s Key Users to ensure a complete understanding of the implications of the current business processes. Analyzing the business processes may also lead to modifying the Microsoft Dynamics™ Business Central standard application. In this case, the Senior Application Consultant will communicate with the supporting Application and Development Consultant to ensure the implementation of the necessary modifications to the Microsoft Dynamics™ Business Central application. Additionally, the Senior Application Consultant can expect to be tasked with successfully conducting acceptance testing and training customer resources to use and maintain the Microsoft Dynamics™ Business Central application. Lead multiple implementation projects with customers. Build mentoring relationships and guide junior and mid-level consultants on best practices and implementation methodologies. Assist the marketing department by creating and presenting client-facing materials (i.e., conference presentations, recorded trainings, etc.). Assist the customer success team with pre-sales opportunities with current and prospective customers. Project Work Admin Manage and record billable hours. Communicate and document relevant project information effectively to the customer, project team, team lead, and senior leadership. Planning Support and lead other ACs in preparation of leading gap/fit analysis and business process analysis. Document and present results from discovery in the strategize phase. Support software license definition and service estimations for implementation tasks. Application Configuration Configure Microsoft 365 Business Central based on requirements identified during the strategize phase and in alignment with Microsoft best practices. Create design documents for customer understanding and acceptance. Lead legacy data analysis. Design and present a data migration plan. Demonstrate manual functionality of a process before proceeding with an ISV or customization. Solution Readiness, Deployment & Hypercare Solution Readiness, Deployment & Hypercare Create a system test plan. Conduct system tests with the customer to ensure functionality, configuration, and data are as expected. Provide go-live support to clear pending issues. Provide customer training. Finalize documentation and send it to the Solution Architect for review and approval. Time Billing Expectations Meet and maintain 70% billable hours within the first month. Assist with finding billable work when identifiable gaps are in your schedule. Professional Development Collaborate with Project Delivery Manager to establish a training focus and utilize available training hours. Display subject matter expertise with at least one core third-party software vendor application through implementation, client training, and troubleshooting. (Obtain certifications if applicable.) Demonstrate proficiency with at least one additional core third-party software vendor application through implementation and troubleshooting with assistance from the ISV or another senior resource. (Obtain certifications if applicable.) Obtain MB-800 Business Central Functional Consultant certification within the first 90 days of employment. Display active interest in new technologies and other continuous learning opportunities. Other Duties as Assigned The tasks indicated are not exclusive. Any Team member may be asked to do other tasks in addition to the listed activities. Qualifications 5+ years of experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV and Business Central required. 2+ years of working at a Microsoft Partner required. 10+ full-cycle ERP implementations required. Experience with Microsoft Office products required. Experience with Power Platform required. Experience in the functional areas of accounting, distribution, or manufacturing is required. Bachelor’s degree in IT, finance, business, or a related field preferred.
Work Environment
Willing to travel 25% of the time or based on the needs of a given project. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Periodic weekend and evening hours to assist with deployments and various time-sensitive projects or issues. Apply To This Job
