The Analytics Engineer plays a key role in owning and evolving our data infrastructure and business intelligence capabilities. This role is responsible for owning, optimizing, and scaling our existing data pipelines and analytics infrastructure while helping mature our overall data architecture to support growing business and operational needs. Xtrm is growing rapidly, and we are investing in a modern data ecosystem to support strategic decision-making.   • Take ownership of existing ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and SQL, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Run, manage, and schedule data workflows in cloud platforms such as Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Develop Python scripts to extract, clean, and process data from various APIs using libraries such as pandas and requests.
  • Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries to support data modeling, reporting, and analytics needs.
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to track key business metrics and operational performance.
  • Design and improve scalable data models and reporting structures to support business intelligence initiatives.
  • Monitor and improve data quality, reliability, and performance across reporting systems and pipelines.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and operational processes through scripting and workflow optimization.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis using Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables and advanced data manipulation.
  • Collaborate directly with US-based leadership and operations teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Partner with leadership teams to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and data-driven operational insights.
  • Translate complex data into clear, meaningful visualizations and business recommendations that support decision-making.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Xtrm’s modern data architecture and analytics best practices.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, Business Intelligence Analyst, or Python Developer working heavily with data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to write scripts, optimize queries, and work with large datasets.
  • Experience building dashboards and reporting solutions in Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Experience working with APIs and processing structured and unstructured data.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data transformation best practices.
  • Experience working with cloud-based analytics and data workflow environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with US-based teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to validate data and identify inconsistencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while taking ownership of responsibilities.

BONUS POINTS (Nice to Have, but not required):

  • Experience with Databricks, PySpark, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience working in fintech, payments, SaaS, or other high-growth technology environments.
  • Experience working with large-scale transactional or financial datasets.
  • Familiarity with modern data warehousing concepts and scalable analytics architecture.
  • Experience working remotely with US or international teams.
