The Personal Injury Legal Assistant role at NextLaw is pivotal in ensuring the smooth management of our personal injury caseload, providing vital support to our legal team. Your expertise will empower our attorneys to focus on high-value tasks, ultimately driving successful outcomes for our clients and growing our firm's impact. What you’ll do: Client Communication: Conduct introductory calls and maintain long-term communication through emails, texts, and calls. Case Management: Support the end-to-end management of personal injury files, actively handling approximately 120 cases. Negotiations: Draft and send letters of representation, and negotiate claims and liens with insurance companies. Documentation: Utilize Filevine for precise case tracking, ensuring all updates are timely and accurate. Autonomous Task Execution: Independently run case management tasks, minimizing the need for micromanagement. What we’re looking for: Experience Required: 2–3 years of personal injury legal support experience, with strong proficiency in Filevine. Knowledge: Familiarity with Washington state personal injury law, including PIP agreements and lien processes. Client Communication: Confident, empathetic communicator able to manage frequent client calls, texts, and emails. Autonomy & Ownership: Able to take initiative, manage casework independently, and move files forward without micromanagement. Technology Proficiency: Comfortable working in a fully remote environment using Gmail, Google Chat, and related tools. Bilingual Advantage: Spanish proficiency is a plus, though not required.
