Primary responsibility is for servicing and repairing JBT Marel sold equipment at our customer sites. In this role, you will perform technical mechanical, electrical and controls work as a FTNON product line Technician (automated fresh cut produce and fruit processing equipment). Strategically manage the field service activities surrounding these product lines while working actively to expand and grow the business. On a given day, you may: Perform all duties in accordance with JBT Marel safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safety-focused work mentality. Performance maintenance and setup work on all JBT Marel FTNON products including cutting and de-coring and drying automated machinery for fresh-cut produce, vegetables, herbs, salads and fruit. Set up and adjust machines in the field to equipment specifications. Customer oriented with a positive/ can do attitude Strong electromechanically inclined abilities to troubleshoot and repair machinery hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components. Perform machine audits, repairs, and preventative scheduled maintenance. Conduct inventory of new equipment prior to start of installation Install, commission, and set up JBT Marel FTNON products in customer facilities. Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and reassemble machines. Welding skills a plus Identify and articulate root cause problem statements while troubleshooting. Safety conscious leader, with a proven track record on safety. Changeover and setup change parts running clearance and timing. Strong written and communication skills with ability to write detailed, technical reports. Good interpersonal skills with a positive and professional attitude. Must demonstrate participation, leadership, and commitment to the execution of JBT Marel strategies. Cross training is an expectation and when applicable, provide training to customers and coworkers alike. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4-6 years of mechanical/electrical/controls experience OR field service experience including working knowledge of fresh produce and fruit processing product lines preferred. Two-year technical school training or related field experience preferred Basic computer skills - including iPad and smart phone, use of email, Word, Excel, etc. Travel includes nights and weekends and may fluctuate due to business need/priority. Manufacturing experience in food processing industry preferred The estimated annual salary range for this role is $64,000 - $84,000.
