Hiring Unit: Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) Course code and title: EDEM 610-025. Leadership in Action. Description: Teaches the use of reflective practice to develop theories of leadership action in educational settings. Also provides students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to engage in processes to improve individual and organizational performance. Special emphasis will be given to communication, problem solving and decision-making. This course is not Team taught. This course will be offered online. Term: Fall 2026 Credits: 3 credits Location: Online Schedule: Tuesday, 05:35 pm-08:25 pm Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs): Education: 1. Master educator with an MA in a relevant field (i.e. educational leadership or school administration) and/or extensive relevant experience. 2. PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset. Experience: Expert knowledge of: Reflexive praxis and the skills and attitudes necessary to engage in processes to improve individual and organizational performance particularly in the Quebec context The responsibilities and quality practices of a school administrator, institutional leader and/or teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system 2. Experience as a school administrator and/or institutional leader in the Quebec educational system. Other: 1. Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the graduate level. 2. Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion. 3. Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences. 4. Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset. 5. Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools. Other Information: Requirements include: 1. Commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructors. 2. Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of course start date.
