Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with accuracy and timeliness
- Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages
- Assist with cost accounting activities, inventory tracking, and manufacturing-related financial analysis
- Help prepare cash flow reporting and daily/weekly cash activity tracking
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
- Assist with audit requests, documentation, and internal control procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting workflows
- Maintain accurate records within ERP system and support data integrity initiatives
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 1-3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience a plus, not required)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and general ledger functions
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
