With a Series D funding round that raised $282 million and a valuation exceeding $1.5 billion, arenaflex is on a rapid growth trajectory, and we are looking for passionate engineers to help shape the next generation of fraud‑prevention technology.

Why Join the Customer Success Engineering Team?

The Customer Success Engineering Team at arenaflex is client‑facing, mission‑critical, and uniquely positioned at the intersection of technology and business. Our engineers act as trusted technical consultants, delivering seamless installations, configurations, and customizations that empower clients to combat fraud, money laundering, and account takeover. If you thrive in dynamic environments, love solving obscure technical challenges, and are driven to create world‑class experiences for high‑profile financial institutions, this is the place for you.

Role Overview – What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer within the Customer Success organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that arenaflex’s products are flawlessly installed, integrated, and optimized to meet each client’s unique requirements. You will collaborate with data scientists, project managers, fraud analysts, and fellow engineers to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the full software development lifecycle for integrations and enhancements to arenaflex’s core fraud‑risk platform.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom Java inbound and outbound interfaces that connect client systems to our platform.
  • Write clean, well‑designed, testable code following industry best practices and internal coding standards.
  • Integrate multiple software components—including SQL, NoSQL, on‑premise, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)—into cohesive, high‑performance solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and optimal performance.
  • Deploy, monitor, and support production systems, providing second‑tier support for live client environments.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver incremental value on a regular cadence.
  • Participate in client workshops, requirement‑gathering sessions, and technical demos to translate business objectives into actionable technical specifications.
  • Document solution designs, implementation steps, and operational procedures for internal knowledge bases and client hand‑over.
  • Continuously explore emerging technologies (e.g., streaming platforms like Kafka or RabbitMQ) to recommend enhancements that improve detection latency and throughput.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the Customer Success organization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Technical Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional Java development (or comparable modern language such as Kotlin, Scala, or Go).
  • Database Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Cloud & On‑Premise Exposure: Familiarity with deploying and configuring applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) as well as traditional on‑premise data centers.
  • Messaging & Streaming: Experience working with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or similar technologies.
  • Client Engagement: Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers in a consultative capacity, translating business problems into technical solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 15 % of the time for on‑site client engagements, workshops, and training sessions.

Preferred Qualifications & Nice‑to‑Have Skills

  • Experience with micro‑services architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of security standards and compliance frameworks relevant to financial services (PCI‑DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Familiarity with data‑science workflows and the ability to collaborate closely with data scientists on model integration.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform).
  • Previous work in fraud detection, risk analytics, or anti‑money‑laundering domains.
  • Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Engineer, etc.).

Core Competencies for Success

  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Ability to dissect complex technical challenges, propose innovative solutions, and iterate quickly.
  • Customer‑Centric Attitude: A genuine passion for delivering value to clients and ensuring their success with arenaflex’s platform.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills, comfortable working in multidisciplinary squads and sharing knowledge openly.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑growing environment where priorities shift and new technologies emerge regularly.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to writing high‑quality, maintainable code and thorough documentation.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in the professional development of its engineers. As a member of the Customer Success Engineering team, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship from senior architects and industry veterans who have built large‑scale fraud‑prevention systems.

  • Opportunities to transition into product engineering, solutions architecture, or leadership roles as the organization expands.
  • Participation in internal hackathons, innovation labs, and research collaborations that influence the future roadmap of arenaflex’s platform.
  • Exposure to a global client base, giving you a deep understanding of regulatory environments and operational challenges across continents.
