Position Overview
The Customer Development Manager III at arenaflex serves as the primary account manager for our most strategic ePay customers. In this senior‑level role, you will own the full lifecycle of key accounts—driving payment portfolio growth, profitability, and revenue retention while acting as the trusted advisor and advocate for our clients. Your strategic insight, analytical rigor, and relationship‑building expertise will directly influence arenaflex’s market position and the success of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Account Planning: Design and execute comprehensive account plans for large, high‑value customers, aligning with arenaflex’s payment portfolio strategy and business objectives. Your plans will focus on increasing product utilization, implementing best practices for the procure‑to‑pay cycle, and meeting growth and retention targets.
- Payment Strategy Development: Leverage deep customer spend data and arenaflex ePay insights to craft tailored payment strategies that optimize cash flow, reduce transaction costs, and enhance financial visibility for clients.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams—including sales, product, operations, and analytics—to deliver a seamless, growth‑focused customer experience. Coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure alignment and mutual success.
- Onboarding & Network Expansion: Lead onboarding initiatives for new suppliers entering the arenaflex network, ensuring smooth integration and rapid time‑to‑value.
- Customer Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the customer within arenaflex, providing actionable feedback that drives continuous improvement across the ePay organization.
- Risk Management & Referenceability: Monitor portfolio risk, maintain a base of referenceable customers, and proactively address potential issues before they impact satisfaction or revenue.
- Support Sales & Operations: Assist arenaflex sales and operational teams with strategic insights, opportunity identification, and execution support as needed.
Key Duties & Activities
- Facilitate regular business reviews, scorecards, and KPI discussions with customers, documenting action items and tracking progress against agreed‑upon goals.
- Analyze provider or supplier spend data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement; translate findings into actionable payment strategies.
- Ensure contract compliance by performing monthly or quarterly spend analyses, communicating performance metrics, and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare and present detailed business review reports, including metrics, benchmarks, and strategic recommendations, to senior customer stakeholders.
- Monitor and maintain KPIs specific to the customer account management model, working collaboratively with customers to resolve outlier issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as the escalation point for complex customer issues, coordinating rapid resolution across internal teams and external partners.

Essential Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in a Customer Success, Account Development, or similar role, with a proven track record of managing large, strategic accounts in the healthcare or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with middle‑management to senior‑level decision‑makers within large healthcare organizations.
- Responsibility for revenue growth and retention of $3 million or more, showcasing the ability to drive significant financial outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex spend data, develop actionable insights, and communicate findings clearly.
