Role Overview
As a German‑Speaking Customer Support Associate on our Customer Delight Team, you will be the friendly voice and helpful hands behind every interaction with our German‑language customers. You’ll handle inquiries across email, WhatsApp, live chat, and phone, ensuring each shopper feels heard, valued, and delighted. You’ll also occasionally support Dutch and English queues, giving you a truly multilingual, cross‑border experience.
This is a hybrid role based in either London or Amsterdam, with flexible working patterns that include evenings and weekends to match our customers’ needs. You’ll be empowered to make decisions, solve problems, and own a significant portion of the customer journey from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and empathetically to German‑speaking customers via Zendesk, WhatsApp, live chat, and telephone.
- Diagnose and resolve order‑related issues, delivery queries, product questions, and returns, always aiming for first‑contact resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams—logistics, product, marketing, and finance—through Slack and internal tools to expedite solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, updating tickets and knowledge‑base articles to improve future support efficiency.
- Participate in daily stand‑ups, weekly team meetings, and quarterly performance reviews to share insights and drive continuous improvement.
- Assist occasional Dutch‑language email queues using our translation tool, and step in on English queues when demand spikes.
- Monitor and meet quality, productivity, and customer‑satisfaction targets while adhering to arenaflex’s brand tone of voice.
- Provide feedback on recurring pain points, helping product and operations teams refine processes and enhance the overall gifting experience.
Essential Qualifications
- Fluent German (native or C2 level) with excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong command of English is also required.
- Previous experience in a customer‑service or support role, preferably in e‑commerce, retail, or a fast‑moving consumer goods environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a hybrid, shift‑based setting.
- Empathy and a solution‑oriented mindset – you naturally put yourself in the customer’s shoes and seek win‑win outcomes.
- Comfort with multi‑channel communication tools (Zendesk, live‑chat platforms, WhatsApp) and collaborative software such as Slack.
- Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and the ability to quickly learn new software.

- Experience supporting multilingual customers or working in an international, multicultural environment.
