About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of Network Management

arenaflex is at the forefront of a seismic shift in how large‑scale networks are designed, operated, and optimized. Our flagship arenaflex Enterprise platform delivers a vendor‑agnostic “digital twin” of any network—whether it lives in the cloud, a hybrid environment, or on‑premises—by leveraging advanced mathematical modeling and real‑time telemetry. This single source of truth empowers network operators to instantly verify security posture, accelerate troubleshooting, prevent outages, and drive modern, data‑driven network management practices.

Since its inception, arenaflex has earned a string of prestigious accolades that underscore our industry leadership: recognized as a “Cool Vendor in Enterprise Networking” by a leading analyst firm, awarded “Product of the Year” by a top cloud publication, hailed as a “Hot Company” by a cybersecurity magazine, and named to a national “Best Workplaces” list. Our founders are Stanford PhD alumni who identified a massive opportunity to transform network operations, and our growth has been fueled by visionary investors such as arenaflex, arenaflex, arenaflex, and arenaflex.

Today, arenaflex serves a distinguished roster of Federal agencies, Fortune 500 enterprises, and Global 2000 corporations. Our customers rely on the arenaflex Platform to deliver mission‑critical reliability, security, and performance across networks that span hundreds of thousands of devices. As we continue to expand our footprint, we are looking for passionate, technically brilliant professionals to join our team and help shape the next generation of network intelligence.

Role Overview – Customer Success Engineer (Federal)

arenaflex is seeking a highly skilled Customer Success Engineer to join our Federal team. In this role, you will act as the post‑sales technical champion for our Federal customers, ensuring they derive maximum value from the arenaflex Platform. You will combine deep networking expertise with exceptional communication skills to guide customers through adoption, troubleshoot complex issues, and influence product direction based on real‑world feedback.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Advocacy: Serve as the subject‑matter expert on the arenaflex Platform, providing strategic guidance that drives successful adoption and long‑term usage.
  • Issue Ownership: Take full responsibility for post‑sales technical challenges, coordinating with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to document resolution steps and develop repeatable troubleshooting playbooks.
  • Customer Enablement: Conduct onboarding workshops, hands‑on labs, and executive briefings that walk Federal customers through each phase of platform deployment, from initial proof‑of‑concept to full production rollout.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams to relay customer insights, influence roadmap priorities, and ensure that product enhancements align with Federal mission requirements.
  • Travel: Participate in on‑site engagements (typically less than 10% of total time) to deliver high‑impact technical sessions and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute to whitepapers, case studies, and industry events that showcase arenaflex’s capabilities and reinforce our position as a trusted advisor to the Federal sector.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI (Counterintelligence) eligibility – a non‑negotiable requirement for Federal engagements.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post‑sales engineering experience in networking, security, or a related software‑as‑a‑service environment, preferably with exposure to large enterprises, service providers, or Government agencies.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer outcomes, maintaining high satisfaction scores, and driving product adoption in fast‑paced, mission‑critical settings.

Desired Experience & Skills

  • Networking & Security Fundamentals: Deep understanding of routing, switching, firewalling, and modern security architectures.
  • Multi‑Vendor Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with leading network vendors such as A10, Arista, Cisco, F5, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and others.
  • Communication Excellence: Superior verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for needs analysis, solution positioning, business justification, and delivering compelling presentations to senior technical and executive audiences.
  • Analytical & Problem‑Solving Acumen: Ability to dissect complex technical problems, develop rapid resolutions, and translate findings into clear, actionable documentation.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated capacity to think strategically while executing tactically, ensuring consistent customer retention and growth.
  • Certifications (Highly Desired): CCIE, JNCIE, VCDX, or equivalent industry‑recognized credentials.
  • Startup Experience: Prior work in a high‑growth, entrepreneurial environment is a strong plus.
  • Automation & Scripting: Familiarity with API‑driven workflows and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, jq, GraphQL, or similar tools.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Customer‑Centric Mindset – always placing the client’s mission and objectives at the forefront of every interaction.
  • Collaborative Spirit – thriving in cross‑functional teams and building consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Adaptability – comfortably navigating evolving technical landscapes, regulatory changes, and shifting priorities.
  • Continuous Learning – a passion for staying ahead of emerging networking trends, security threats, and industry best practices.
  • Integrity & Trust – upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical conduct required for handling classified information.

Career Growth & Development Opportunities

At arenaflex, we invest heavily in the professional development of our people. As a Customer Success Engineer, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship from senior technical leaders and Federal program managers.
  • Sponsored certifications and advanced training programs (e.g., CCIE, SANS, or specialized arenaflex technical tracks).
  • Opportunities to transition into senior technical consulting, product management, or solutions architecture roles as you broaden your expertise.
  • Participation in internal innovation labs where you can prototype new features, influence product strategy, and showcase your ideas to executive leadership.
  • Exposure to a global customer base, enabling you to build a robust professional network across the public and private sectors.
