Position Overview

Job Title: Medical Call Center Customer Support Specialist (Remote)

Compensation: $16 per hour, paid weekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Schedule: Flexible 8‑hour shifts within the 8 am – 9 pm EST window, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be able to work any shift that fits the operational hours.

Location Requirement: Applicants must reside in or around Irving, TX, and be prepared to pick up the required equipment from our Irving office.

Start Date: Projected launch in October 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, patient‑focused service on inbound calls, addressing inquiries about prescription benefits, billing, and medication delivery.
  • Initiate outbound calls when necessary to follow up on pending issues, confirm prescription details, or provide additional support.
  • Accurately verify patient identity and collect essential medical and billing information while adhering to HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
  • Maintain meticulous records in the electronic health‑record system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with federal health‑care program guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal clinical teams, pharmacy specialists, and insurance representatives to resolve complex patient concerns.
  • Monitor and achieve performance metrics (KPIs) such as average handle time, first‑call resolution, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Provide basic technical troubleshooting for remote‑work tools, ensuring uninterrupted service during each shift.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions, role‑plays, and quality assurance reviews to continuously improve service delivery.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of recent call‑center experience, preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health administration or related fields is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and patient privacy best practices (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of accurate data entry.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Reliable, high‑speed wired internet connection (mobile hotspots are not accepted) and a dedicated, distraction‑free workspace.
  • Basic technical aptitude for troubleshooting common remote‑work issues (e.g., headset, software, connectivity).
  • Ability to log in and work full scheduled shifts without interruptions, adhering to all arenaflex‑mandated KPIs.
  • Willingness and ability to pick up required equipment from the Irving, TX location.
