Position Overview

As an Onsite Healthcare Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be the frontline champion for patients, policyholders, and health‑care providers who contact us with questions, concerns, and service requests. You will leverage multiple communication channels—phone, email, chat, and social media—to deliver accurate information, resolve issues, and create positive experiences that reflect arenaflex’s commitment to excellence.

This role is based at our vibrant McAllen, Texas office, where you will collaborate with a diverse team of specialists, supervisors, and technology experts. No two days are alike; each interaction offers a chance to learn, grow, and make a tangible difference in someone’s health journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers via phone, email, live chat, and social media to address inquiries related to health‑care plans, insurance claims, and service eligibility.
  • Maintain a calm, empathetic demeanor while de‑escalating challenging situations and turning dissatisfied callers into satisfied advocates.
  • Accurately document every interaction in arenaflex’s CRM system, ensuring data integrity for auditing, reporting, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
  • Escalate complex or high‑risk issues to the appropriate specialist or supervisor in a timely manner, following established escalation protocols.
  • Process payment authorizations, verify eligibility, and assist with claim status updates when required.
  • Identify opportunities to cross‑sell or upsell additional arenaflex services, adhering to compliance guidelines and focusing on customer value.
  • Provide constructive feedback on recurring call trends, system limitations, or knowledge‑base gaps to support product and process enhancements.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, team huddles, and performance reviews to continuously sharpen your skill set.

Essential Qualifications

  • Active Life & Health Insurance License in the state of residence (Texas preferred).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of direct customer service experience, preferably in a health‑care or insurance environment.
  • Legal age of 18 years or older.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based desktop applications and a comfort level navigating multiple software platforms simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to listen actively and respond clearly.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Assets

  • Previous experience in sales or upselling within a regulated industry.
  • College coursework or degree in health administration, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce, Zendesk, or similar platforms.
  • Certification in customer service excellence (e.g., HDI, COPC).
  • Multilingual abilities, especially Spanish, to serve our diverse customer base in Texas and beyond.
