Key Responsibilities

  • Order Management: Receive, verify, and process telephone and in‑person orders with precision, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are accurately captured.
  • Food Preparation: Operate kitchen equipment, stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage, workstations, and walk‑in coolers, and assemble menu items according to arenaflex standards.
  • Inventory Control: Conduct regular inventory counts, record deliveries, and complete associated paperwork to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide courteous, clear verbal and written communication with customers, addressing questions, resolving concerns, and upselling complementary products.
  • Delivery Coordination: Safely transport pizzas, sides, and beverages to customers within a designated delivery zone, navigating stairs, elevators, and varying weather conditions.
  • Equipment & Facility Maintenance: Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas daily, perform routine checks on ovens, slicers, and other tools, and report any maintenance needs.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately calculate totals, make correct monetary change, and operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems with speed and reliability.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, fellow service reps, and delivery drivers to ensure smooth operations and consistent quality.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all food safety, health, and workplace safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment.

Essential Functions & Physical Demands

  • Standing & Walking: Most tasks are performed while standing; short‑distance walking on tiled or linoleum surfaces is required throughout the shift.
  • Lifting & Carrying: Lift and move cases of ingredients up to 50 lb, and carry trays of pizza dough (≈12 lb each) or sauce containers (≈30 lb) short distances.
  • Climbing & Stairs: Navigate stairs or ladders to restock shelves, change signage, or deliver orders that require multiple flights of stairs.
  • Reaching & Bending: Frequently reach above 72 inches for oven controls and below waist level for ingredient preparation; occasional stooping, crouching, and squatting are required.
  • Hand‑Eye Coordination: Operate keyboards, touch screens, pizza cutters, and peels with precision; manipulate packaging materials and tools throughout the day.
  • Environmental Exposure: Work in temperature‑controlled environments ranging from 36 °F in walk‑in coolers to 90 °F+ in hot kitchen zones; handle food odors, cornmeal dust, and occasional hot surfaces up to 500 °F.

Qualifications – Essential

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and accurately; comfort using calculators or POS systems.
  • Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills; ability to convey instructions clearly to customers and teammates.
  • Basic computer literacy – experience with keyboards, touch‑screen interfaces, and inventory software.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and make correct change.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lb, and perform repetitive motions safely.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a fast‑paced food‑service or retail environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., ServSafe) or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Familiarity with delivery routing software or GPS navigation tools.
