Position Overview
This is a hybrid position based in Farmington Hills, MI. While you’ll enjoy the flexibility of remote work, you must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to attend on‑site team meetings, collaborative workshops, and in‑person training sessions. You will work closely with the Government Programs department, quality assurance teams, and cross‑functional partners to drive continuous improvement and uphold arenaflex’s standards of service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy Interpretation & Claims Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for complex dental policy queries, procedure codes, and claims processing related to Medicare Advantage and Medicaid compliance.
- Complex Claims Adjudication: Research, analyze, and resolve difficult claims, inquiries, and grievances, ensuring accurate and timely determinations.
- On‑boarding & Training Development: Design, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires, as well as ongoing refresher courses for existing staff.
- Instructional Design: Create engaging training materials using a variety of instructional methods (e‑learning, classroom, webinars, job‑aids) to address evolving system functionalities and regulatory updates.
- Process Documentation: Identify, develop, and maintain standard operating procedures for government program support, ensuring consistency across the department.
- Pre‑Screening & Triage: Conduct initial reviews of claims and inquiries before they reach the Professional Review and Focused Review teams, streamlining workflow and reducing turnaround time.
- Cross‑Department Collaboration: Partner with IT, reporting, and quality assurance specialists to troubleshoot system issues, identify process gaps, and recommend enhancements.
- Data‑Driven Improvement: Analyze trends, generate reports, and present findings to leadership to drive strategic improvements in training and operational efficiency.
- Additional Duties: Perform any related tasks that support the overarching goals of the Government Programs department and arenaflex’s mission.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of post‑secondary education in dental assisting, dental hygiene, business administration, or a related field.
- At least two years of professional experience in a customer service, claims processing, or dental benefits environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology, procedure codes (e.g., CDT), and insurance products.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with claims management systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical abilities with a track record of resolving complex problems independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Self‑motivated, with a collaborative mindset and the capacity to make informed decisions quickly.
