Role Summary

The Client General Manager will own the end‑to‑end relationship with key media and entertainment accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert on travel. You will develop innovative, value‑added solutions, lead strategic account planning, and ensure that every client interaction exceeds expectations. The position is based in the United States or Canada, operates on East Coast business hours, and requires 25‑30% travel to meet clients and attend industry events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Deeply understand each client’s strategic objectives, cultural nuances, and business drivers to craft tailored travel programs.
  • Consultative Guidance: Advise clients on optimizing travel performance, cost control, and risk mitigation across their production schedules.
  • Entertainment‑Specific Solutions: Identify and design unique travel solutions for news, sports, film, television, and theatrical productions, enhancing productivity and traveler experience.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with arenaflex’s Global Business Consulting, Client Services, Service Delivery, Implementation, Meetings & Events, and GCG Directors to deliver seamless service.
  • Influence Building: Establish a network of influence at senior levels within client organizations and affiliate studios to become the go‑to travel advisor.
  • Market Insight & Trend Monitoring: Stay ahead of entertainment travel trends, emerging technologies, and evolving client needs to keep arenaflex at the forefront of the industry.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Create and maintain comprehensive account plans that uncover groundbreaking business opportunities and drive client satisfaction.
  • Value Creation & Retention: Deliver measurable savings, improve service quality, and increase client retention through data‑driven analysis and process enhancements.
  • Technology Road‑Mapping: Lead the adoption of arenaflex’s digital platforms, policy consultation tools, and online servicing solutions to streamline travel operations.
  • Financial Management: Oversee P&L responsibilities, regional pricing strategies, and quarterly/annual business reviews for assigned accounts.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Research market competitors, benchmark services, and articulate arenaflex’s differentiators to prospects and existing clients.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent arenaflex as a subject‑matter expert at industry conferences, webinars, and client workshops.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated passion for the entertainment sector and a solid understanding of its travel requirements.
  • 5+ years of global account or client management experience, preferably within a travel, hospitality, or media‑focused organization.
  • Proven track record of upselling and expanding revenue streams for large, multinational clients.
