Key Responsibilities

  • First‑Call Resolution: Respond promptly to inbound inquiries, accurately identify the nature of each request, and resolve issues on the first call whenever possible.
  • Member Education: Guide members through consumer‑driven health‑care topics, helping them compare plan options, understand benefits, and select the coverage that best fits their lifestyle and budget.
  • Proactive Outreach: Initiate welcome calls for new members, conduct follow‑up outreach to address gaps in care, and provide ongoing support throughout the member lifecycle.
  • Provider Coordination: Act as a liaison between members and health‑care providers, assisting with appointment scheduling, specialist referrals, and coordination of care.
  • Digital Navigation Assistance: Help members navigate arenaflex’s online portals, including the member portal (formerly myuhc.com) and other digital resources, ensuring they can access claims, benefits, and educational tools with ease.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Accurately document all interactions in the CRM system, adhere to privacy regulations, and follow internal compliance protocols.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with cross‑functional teams—such as sales, underwriting, and clinical services—to share insights and improve overall member experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year proven experience in a customer service or call‑center environment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative spirit.
  • Flexibility to work the schedule of 11:35 am – 8:05 pm CST, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Experience & Nice‑to‑Haves

  • Background in sales, account management, or member acquisition.
  • Experience within the health‑care, insurance, or benefits industry, including familiarity with medical terminology and health‑plan documentation.
  • Educational or professional experience in social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, or health promotion.
  • Proficiency with digital platforms and the ability to quickly learn new software tools.
