Our culture blends fast‑paced retail energy with a commitment to quality, innovation, and exceptional customer service. At arenaflex, every team member plays a pivotal role in delivering a seamless, consultative experience that keeps customers coming back.

Position Overview

The Lead Retail Customer Service Associate is the cornerstone of the store’s daily operations. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will master every facet of the business—from print production and graphic design to shipping logistics—while guiding both customers and teammates toward optimal solutions. This role demands a blend of technical know‑how, consultative selling, and hands‑on leadership. You will be the go‑to expert for complex orders, ensuring that each job is completed accurately, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Consultative Selling

  • Greet every customer with a friendly, professional demeanor and assess their needs through active listening.
  • Provide clear pricing information, recommend appropriate arenaflex products and services, and upsell where beneficial.
  • Utilize consultative techniques to anticipate additional requirements, suggest alternatives, and solve problems before they arise.
  • Maintain detailed records of each transaction, ensuring accurate order entry and follow‑up.

Production Management & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the full production workflow—from digital imaging and color management to finishing and large‑format printing.
  • Coordinate scheduling of print jobs, ensuring that each order is processed in the correct sequence and meets delivery deadlines.
  • Operate advanced printing equipment, calibrate machines, and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality checks at every stage, guaranteeing that final products meet arenaflex’s exacting standards.

Shipping & Logistics Coordination

  • Advise customers on the most cost‑effective and reliable shipping methods, explaining rates, routes, and service options.
  • Prepare parcels for shipment: wrap, label, weigh, and arrange appropriate packaging materials.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of shipping supplies and reorder stock as needed.
  • Schedule pick‑up and delivery, ensuring seamless hand‑off to carriers and timely receipt by customers.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide on‑the‑spot guidance to fellow Associates during peak periods, stepping in to resolve escalated customer concerns.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members, sharing best practices for equipment operation, customer service, and safety protocols.
  • Facilitate shift handovers, communicating production status, pending orders, and any operational challenges.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements, cost reductions, and profitability enhancements in collaboration with management.

Financial & Administrative Duties

  • Operate the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system, process cash, credit, and check transactions, and issue accurate change.
  • Prepare daily sales reports, perform register close‑outs, and assist with bank deposits.
  • Complete required paperwork for each transaction, ensuring compliance with arenaflex policies and legal regulations.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, communications, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of specialized experience in a retail, print, or shipping environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an easy‑to‑understand manner.
  • Physical ability to stand for an entire shift, lift up to 55 lb, and perform repetitive bending, twisting, and reaching motions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of delivering consistent, high‑quality customer service and meeting production deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience operating digital printers, large‑format plotters, or other advanced imaging equipment.
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) to assist customers with file preparation.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a retail or service‑oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of shipping carrier services, packaging standards, and customs documentation.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, with a willingness to adopt Quality‑Driven Management principles.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Consultative Selling: Ability to ask probing questions, identify hidden needs, and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort with operating and troubleshooting high‑speed printers, cutters, and laminators.
  • Organizational Acumen: Strong multitasking capabilities; ability to juggle multiple orders without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to mentor peers, share knowledge, and foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Problem Solving: Quick decision‑making skills to resolve customer complaints, equipment failures, or scheduling conflicts.
  • Financial Literacy: Accurate handling of cash, credit, and reconciliation processes.
