Position Overview

The Billing & Data Entry Specialist is a critical member of arenaflex’s finance and operations hub. Working primarily on the second shift, you will be responsible for accurately entering bills of lading, processing hazardous‑material invoices, and supporting service centers with billing‑related inquiries. Key Responsibilities

  • Enter bills of lading into the arenaflex internal inquiry system with speed, precision, and adherence to company standards.
  • Learn, retain, and apply industry‑specific terminology related to freight billing, ensuring consistent communication across teams.
  • Become proficient in the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) system to correctly classify shipments and apply appropriate rates.
  • Identify, document, and communicate any billing discrepancies or issues to the appropriate Service Center teams for timely resolution.
  • Conduct assigned audits, verifying data integrity and compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
  • Process hazardous‑materials bills accurately, following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide responsive assistance to Service Centers, answering billing‑related questions and offering guidance on best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to review weekly error reports, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve billing accuracy.
  • Maintain organized records of all billing activities, ensuring easy retrieval for audits, reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with industry changes, software updates, and arenaflex’s evolving processes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated exceptional data entry skills with a proven track record of high‑volume, error‑free work.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work late afternoons and evenings, specifically the second shift (typically 2 PM – 10 PM).
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States and a minimum age of 18 years.
