Position Overview

The Retail Customer Service Cashier role is the face of arenaxflex’s stores. You will deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service to a diverse customer base, maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and support a variety of store functions. No prior experience is required—arenaxflex provides comprehensive training to ensure you succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers with a warm smile, assist them in locating products, answer questions about services, and resolve any concerns promptly.
  • Cash Register Management: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and digital payments, and ensure compliance with all state and local regulations.
  • Upselling & Cross‑Selling: Identify opportunities to promote additional products and services, enhancing the overall shopping experience and driving store revenue.
  • Food Safety & Fresh Food Handling: Utilize technology and best‑practice methods to maintain proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli items.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep your work area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and fuel pump stations clean and organized; perform regular trash runs and routine upkeep.
  • Flexibility & Cross‑Training: Participate in cross‑training opportunities across departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership pathways.
  • Physical Requirements: Safely lift and move items weighing 25+ pounds and adapt to varying temperature conditions throughout the store and fuel areas.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help customers.
  • Basic math proficiency and comfort handling cash transactions.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
