Why This Role Matters

As a Customer Security Engineer at arenaflex, you will be the technical champion for our enterprise customers, guiding them through the complexities of modern security landscapes. You will leverage Microsoft’s cutting‑edge security suite—including Entra ID, Copilot, Purview, and Microsoft 365 Defender—to design, implement, and sustain robust security architectures that protect critical data, identities, and workloads. Your expertise will directly influence the health, resilience, and compliance posture of organizations worldwide, ensuring they can operate with confidence in an increasingly hostile digital world.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI‑Driven Security Automation: Design, develop, and deploy automated security workflows using Copilot for Security, turning AI‑generated insights into actionable threat‑remediation playbooks.
  • Microsoft 365 Defender Management: Configure, monitor, and fine‑tune Microsoft 365 Defender across identities, endpoints, applications, and data to detect and neutralize sophisticated attacks.
  • Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID) Governance: Oversee Azure Active Directory administration, enforce conditional access policies, and implement identity protection strategies that align with zero‑trust principles.
  • Data Protection with Microsoft Purview: Architect and maintain information protection frameworks using Purview, ensuring data classification, labeling, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
  • Comprehensive M365 Security: Build end‑to‑end security controls for Microsoft 365 environments, including encryption, data loss prevention, and secure collaboration tools.
  • Customer Advisory & Consulting: Act as a trusted advisor, delivering risk assessments, best‑practice guidance, and migration strategies that help customers modernize their security posture.
  • Incident Response & Rapid Resolution: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and rapid remediation for critical security incidents, minimizing downtime and business impact.
  • Knowledge Transfer & Enablement: Conduct workshops, webinars, and hands‑on training sessions to empower customer technical teams with the skills needed to sustain secure environments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Capture feedback, analyze trends, and contribute to the evolution of arenaflex’s security service offerings and internal knowledge base.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in IT security, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise‑grade solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft security technologies, specifically Microsoft 365 Defender, Azure AD (Entra ID), and Microsoft Purview.
  • Strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, including threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Experience designing and implementing AI‑enabled security automation (e.g., Copilot for Security) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and industry‑specific regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a data‑driven approach to decision making.
  • Outstanding communication skills—able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate.
  • Hands‑on experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation and orchestration.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices across Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Azure Sentinel) and threat intelligence feeds.
  • Prior consulting or professional services experience, especially in a customer‑facing role.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with global teams.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Strategic Thinking: Anticipate emerging threats and proactively design security solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Partner effectively with sales, product, and engineering teams to deliver seamless, end‑to‑end customer experiences.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment, quickly mastering new technologies and evolving security standards.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Prioritize client success, delivering value‑added recommendations that drive measurable improvements.
