With a fleet that spans continents and a commitment to sustainability, arenaflex blends cutting‑edge analytics with a people‑first philosophy. Our mission is to empower travelers, partners, and employees alike by delivering safe, reliable, and forward‑thinking services. As part of our ongoing digital transformation, we are expanding the Financial Planning Systems (FPS) team to include a dedicated, part‑time remote Data Entry Analyst who will help shape the financial backbone of the organization.

Why This Role Matters – The Impact You’ll Have

In today’s fast‑moving aviation landscape, accurate financial data is the lifeblood of strategic decision‑making. As a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning Systems at arenaflex, you will be the guardian of our Hyperion and Essbase environments, ensuring that every dollar, cost center, and intercompany transaction is captured with precision. Your work will directly influence budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, enabling senior leadership to steer the company toward growth, efficiency, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Maintain Hyperion Planning Application: Perform routine monitoring, data loads, and reconciliations for both budget and actual financials.
  • Validate Data Integrity: Review and approve data from Hyperion Financial Management and related source systems, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Troubleshoot Data Issues: Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies such as division roll‑ups, intercompany eliminations, and allocation errors.
  • Support System Enhancements: Collaborate with IT and finance stakeholders to design, test, and implement system upgrades, new data feeds, and automation scripts.
  • Provide End‑User Assistance: Act as the primary point of contact for business users experiencing issues with reports, models, or data extracts.
  • Drive Month‑End Close Activities: Execute headcount updates, load journal entries, and coordinate with GL teams to ensure a seamless close process.
  • Develop Essbase Artifacts: Build and maintain robust Essbase cubes, planning applications, and reporting templates tailored to finance and operational needs.
  • Analyze Business Requirements: Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, recommending optimal solutions.
  • Document Processes: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data flows, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance data quality.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance role, with hands‑on exposure to financial statements, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong technical foundation, including experience with Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and data integration tools such as Prophet.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and accountability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with a relentless focus on data precision and quality.

Preferred Qualifications – What Sets You Apart

  • Advanced certifications such as Oracle Hyperion Planning Certified Implementation Specialist or similar.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials) and data warehouse concepts.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA) for automation of repetitive tasks.
  • Prior exposure to the airline or transportation industry, understanding of revenue management and cost structures.
  • Familiarity with Agile project methodologies and collaborative tools like JIRA or Confluence.

Core Skills & Competencies – What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to dissect large data sets, spot trends, and draw actionable insights.
  • Problem‑Solving: Creative approach to troubleshooting data anomalies and system issues.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills, thriving in cross‑functional environments and building trusted relationships.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with evolving priorities, new technologies, and shifting business demands.
  • Time Management: Efficiently balance multiple responsibilities while meeting strict month‑end deadlines.
