[Hiring] Emergency Management & Readiness Program Manager @Cherokee Federal

Role Description We are seeking an Emergency Preparedness and Response SME to provide technical leadership for a specialized program serving ORR Eligible Entrants, Refugees, Asylees, or Victims of Human Trafficking in the area of EPR. The SME will guide the development and delivery of Emergency Preparedness and Response materials including:

  • Webinars
  • Community workshops
  • Digital and written materials The SME will also guide engagement with relevant stakeholders including but not limited to:
  • Resettlement Agencies (Ras)
  • Ethnic Community Based Organizations (ECBOs)
  • State and local government partners
  • Faith-based and social/civic organizations
  • Others Qualifications
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, community mapping, and community organizing skills
  • 4 or more years of experience working with ORR eligible populations and refugee-serving organizations around the topics of EPR
  • 2 or more years working with refugee and immigrant populations
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to travel to Michigan at least once per month during the program period
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal Requirements
  • Lead the design, refinement, and implementation of EPR programming for ORR Eligible populations
  • Provide subject matter expertise and leadership to ORR Eligible populations, Ras, ECBOs, faith-based groups, and others through training, case consultations, mentoring, and coaching
  • Support proposal development, reporting, and strategic planning
  • Develop workflows, tools, and guidelines to support seamless collaboration and role clarity across the teams
  • Promote trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally competent practices in all aspects of service delivery
  • Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to identify evolving service priorities and support resource allocation
  • Serve as a thought partner in the development of sustainable programming and culturally specific approaches
  • Liaise with community members and local partners to strengthen referral networks and community integration pathways
  • Monitor program implementation and outcomes, offering feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement
