Immigration Paralegal; Hybrid
Position: Immigration Paralegal (Hybrid) Our client is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join its team in a hybrid role based in their Schaumburg office. This position supports attorneys in advanced aspects of business immigration, including form preparation, document management, and client communications.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation of immigration legal forms, including nonimmigrant and immigrant applications and petitions, for attorney review in a high-volume practice
- Assist in troubleshooting case-related issues identified by clients and attorneys
- Prepare immigration forms using legal software and draft correspondence using Microsoft Word; distribute finalized materials to clients for signature and processing
- Support attorneys in assessing eligibility for immigration benefits by reviewing questionnaires and supporting documentation
- Maintain organized case files and ensure accurate document management
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow within the team Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any field or a Paralegal Certificate
- 2-6 years of experience handling employment-based immigration matters, including H-1B, PERM, and Adjustment of Status (AOS) applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Flexible, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities concurrently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Additional Information
