Batch Operator

Job Type Full-time Description 2nd Shift:Monday- Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm Starting wage of $21 per hour plus $2 shift differential Silver Spring Foods offers competitive wages along with a full benefit package. We're seeking an experienced Batch Operator who is motivated and has a real enthusiasm for creating great tasting food. You enjoy the science of food, knowing that exact measurement of ingredients and the right blending process are critical to making a high-quality product. You're a self-starter who enjoys working independently with minimal direction, and take pride in your equipment, processes and end products. You also enjoy being on a positive, productive team that works together to make great products and do what you can to help your team members throughout the day. And you enjoy the physicality of the job, knowing you won't have to go to Cross Fit after work.

Requirements

People Management: Promoting teamwork and building strong teams is second nature to you. You walk the manufacturing lines regularly and you know your different team members because you understand how important it is to see what's happening on the floor and have a strong relationship with your colleagues to optimize production. Your close connections help the team achieve their goals. You're a coach and a manager, providing feedback, instruction, encouragement and kudos, modeling great leadership and inspiring positive behavior and comradery. Collaboration: You are known for your ability to collaborate with lots of different personalities and colleagues across the organization. Continuous Improvement: Your team keeps improving and optimizing even in the face of every changing conditions because they are suggesting and implementing material improvements to our operations. Daily Operation Support: Proper shift transitions & strong lines of communication between the different teams keep operations moving smoothly. You review all job orders and quickly determine priorities, staffing needs, and material requirements to ensure the team is meeting daily production goals. A stickler for detail, you ensure that safety, quality and maintenance procedures are followed and documented accurately, thoroughly and efficiently.
