The Opportunity We are seeking a driven, fearless Business Development Professional to join the SLG team and help take the firm to the next level. You will work directly alongside company Managing Partners and the broader SLG team to identify, develop, and close complex licensing, acquisition, divestitures transactions on behalf of our clients — both regionally and globally. This is not a role for someone who needs to be managed. It is a role for someone who takes initiative, drives outcomes, and understands that in a success-fee-driven business, results are everything. Who You Are You are a relentless deal-maker with the emotional intelligence to build deep, lasting relationships and the tenacity and creative problem-solving skills to see every transaction through to close. Ideally, you bring the combination of scientific literacy and financial acumen that allows you to understand both the assets you represent and the deal structures that bring them to market. But most importantly it is the drive to get results. You are self-aware, open to feedback, and continuously looking to sharpen your edge. You are a team player who values collaboration to get the best results for our clients. You take ownership, solve problems proactively, and bring energy and urgency to everything you do. Key Ideal Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Proven track record in pharma/biotech business development, licensing, or strategic transactions
  • Deal-Making: Demonstrated ability to structure and close complex out-licensing, in-licensing, M&A, or partnership deals
  • Scientific Background: Strong science foundation not required but a significant asset
  • Financial Acumen

: Comfort with financial modeling, deal valuation, and transaction structures; MBA or finance background a plus

  • Interpersonal Skills

: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building capabilities

  • Drive & Initiative

: Self-starter who is a leader that takes ownership and drives processes forward without being asked

  • Interest in success-based compensation: You believe in yourself to close deals. Majority of compensation potential is tied to success fees from closing transactions
