Technical Recruiter (1099 Contractor) Department: People Operations Employment Type: Contract Location: Remote Compensation: $45.00 - $55.00 / hour Description Nuvitek is seeking a mid-level Technical Recruiter to support and execute end-to-end recruiting efforts for technical roles. This role is responsible for managing the recruiting lifecycle, building strong talent pipelines, and partnering with hiring managers to help hire high-quality talent. This is a 1099 contractor position expected to work approximately 30–35 hours per week. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and passionate about delivering a strong candidate experience while supporting hiring initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for technical roles from intake through offer stage
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, role requirements, and team priorities
- Source and engage technical talent using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, and other sourcing channels
- Conduct candidate screenings to assess skills, experience, and role alignment
- Coordinate interviews and maintain consistent communication throughout the hiring process
- Present qualified candidates and interview feedback to hiring managers in a timely manner
- Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), specifically Pinpoint
- Utilize Jira to track recruiting workflows, hiring progress, task management, and recruiting coordination activities
- Support recruiting process improvements and workflow efficiencies within Pinpoint and recruiting operations
- Track recruiting activity, pipeline health, and hiring progress
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for future hiring needs
- Recruit for government contracting and federal support roles while ensuring alignment with compliance and hiring requirements
- Stay informed on recruiting trends, market conditions, and technical hiring best practices
What You Will Bring
- 3+ years of experience recruiting for technical or technology-focused roles
- Experience supporting government contracting or federal hiring environments
- Experience managing multiple open requisitions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sourcing skills across LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, and passive outreach
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Pinpoint
- Experience using Jira for workflow tracking, task management, or recruiting coordination
- Ability to manage recruiting workflows, candidate tracking, and interview coordination within an ATS
- Understanding of recruiting processes related to government contracting, including compliance and documentation requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams
- Strong follow-up and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with a high level of accountability

- Experience recruiting for software engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, AI, or data-focused roles
- Familiarity with ATS workflow automation or recruiting operations improvements within Pinpoint
- Experience working in a startup, agency, or growth-oriented environment
- Exposure to recruiting metrics, reporting, and hiring analytics
- Experience supporting remote hiring processes
- Experience building recruiting workflows, templates, or process automations in Pinpoint
- Familiarity with security clearance recruiting or cleared candidate pipelines
