Local Political & Civic Research Lead (Only Berkeley, Burlington & Durham)
We are looking for politically aware and highly analytical people who understand local civic ecosystems, community dynamics, and city-level political environments in Berkeley, Burlington, and Durham. This is not a generic research role. We are specifically looking for people who understand how local influence, decision-making, and community pressure actually work inside cities and regions. Your responsibilities may include: Researching important local political and civic issues Identifying key local stakeholders and decision-makers Mapping and helping establish connections with local organizations, activists, journalists, community groups, and influential local stakeholders Identifying not only who the key actors are, but also helping us reach and build relationships with them Leveraging existing local networks and introductions whenever possible, as strong community connections are a major priority for this role Monitoring city council agendas, local elections, and policy debates Helping us understand which issues genuinely matter to residents Providing local context and strategic insights We are especially interested in candidates with experience in: Local politics Political consulting Campaigns Public affairs Civic engagement Government relations Community research Policy analysis Ideal Background in Political consultant Campaign manager Field organizer Public affairs specialist Former government staff Civic engagement professional Political science / public policy student Local political researcher Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
