Role Description The Human Resources Payroll Coordinator is a full-time remote role responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and HR data management. This role manages end-to-end payroll cycles, verifies timesheets and compensation changes, and maintains compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The coordinator updates and audits employee records in HRIS, supports benefits enrollments and changes, and coordinates with finance on payroll reporting and reconciliations. Day-to-day tasks include responding to employee inquiries, resolving payroll and benefits issues, preparing standard reports, and supporting HR projects such as onboarding, offboarding, and compliance documentation. The position requires close collaboration with HR, finance, and leadership to maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and a positive employee experience.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Payroll Administration, including end-to-end processing, payroll reconciliations, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in Human Resources (HR), supporting employee lifecycle activities, recordkeeping, and policy adherence.
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including data entry, audits, and reporting.
- Knowledge of Benefits Administration and Employee Benefits, including enrollments, changes, and basic compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to supporting employees remotely.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet payroll deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.
- Previous experience in payroll or HR coordination and familiarity with multi-state payroll is preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
