Role Description The Job Mgr Telematics Manager, Field Operations Fleet Admin Supervisor Field Ops and M&R Superintendent is a full-time remote role overseeing telematics programs, fleet administration, and maintenance and repair (M&R) activities across field operations. The role includes managing telematics systems for fleet tracking, performance monitoring, and compliance reporting, and turning data into actionable insights that improve safety, utilization, and cost control. This position leads and supports a distributed team responsible for fleet administration, scheduling maintenance, coordinating repairs, and ensuring adherence to operational standards and policies. The role collaborates with field leaders, vendors, and internal stakeholders to optimize fleet workflows, resolve operational issues, and implement best practices. Daily tasks include reviewing telematics dashboards, analyzing operational metrics, prioritizing work orders, supervising staff performance, and preparing reports for leadership on fleet and field operations performance.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, coaching, performance management, and the ability to coordinate multiple remote team members.
- Hands-on experience with fleet operations and fleet management, including scheduling, utilization, maintenance coordination, and vendor management.
- Proficiency in operations management, with a focus on process optimization, workflow standardization, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Well-developed analytical skills to interpret telematics data, KPIs, and operational metrics and convert findings into practical action plans.
- Experience with telematics or similar fleet tracking and monitoring systems, including reporting and compliance features.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex operational information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Relevant experience in transportation, utilities, construction, energy, or a similar field-based operations environment is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
