About the Role

As a Patient Access and Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in promoting a positive patient and family experience while maintaining the image of our organization. You will be responsible for monitoring access issues with provider schedules that affect patient satisfaction and communicating these issues to the team leader. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will be essential in accurately verifying patient demographics and insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities

Promote a Positive Patient Experience: Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients and families, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.

  • Monitor Access Issues: Identify and communicate access issues with provider schedules that affect patient satisfaction to the team leader.
  • Verify Patient Demographics and Insurance Coverage: Accurately verify patient demographics and insurance coverage to ensure seamless registration and billing processes.
  • General Scheduling, Registration, Messaging, and Customer Service Duties: Perform a range of tasks, including scheduling, registration, messaging, and customer service, to provide exceptional patient experiences.
  • Answer Phones Efficiently: Answer phones in a timely and courteous manner, providing access to the system and addressing patient inquiries.
  • Proactively Monitor and Respond to Communication Requests: Monitor work queues and respond to communication requests in a timely and effective manner.
  • Use Resources Effectively: Utilize resources to provide the right response to callers, demonstrating quick thinking and a calm manner.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.

  • Customer Service Experience: Twelve (12) months of experience in a high-volume customer service call center or contact center environment is required.
  • Quality Scores: Maintain quality scores of 85% or above, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
  • Schedule Adherence: Adhere to established scheduling guidelines, ensuring that patient needs are met and exceeded.
  • Training and Development: Complete training exams with a passing score, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in a minimum of 8 sections/skills and all registration aspects, with strong computer, writing, and customer service skills.
