Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Customer Service Advocate for Healthcare Services, you will be responsible for:
- Responding to Incoming Calls and Emails: Provide essential information and support to applicants, their families, and the medical community, while maintaining a courteous and empathetic approach.
- Conducting High-Level Waiver Eligibility Screenings: Assist callers in identifying the most suitable waiver program, while ensuring up-to-date knowledge of waiver program information, policies, and procedures.
- Scheduling Initial Intake Visits: Arrange convenient times for applicants and provide referrals to Enrollment Brokers, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Maintaining Confidentiality and Respect: Uphold consumer confidentiality and respect the efforts of families and caregivers in service planning and delivery.
- Collaborating with Colleagues: Work closely with the Central Operations Manager and other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Essential Qualifications
* High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a clear statement on your resume.
- Experience in Human Services and/or Customer Service: A minimum of three years of experience in human services and/or customer service is preferred, with knowledge of Pennsylvania Home and Community-Based Waiver Services (HCBS) and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Bilingual Capabilities: Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, with opportunities to earn a higher hourly rate.
Preferred Qualifications
* Three Years of Experience in Human Services and/or Customer Service: A minimum of three years of experience in human services and/or customer service is preferred, with knowledge of Pennsylvania Home and Community-Based Waiver Services (HCBS) and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology: Familiarity with medical terminology and a strong understanding of healthcare services are highly desirable.
