Analyst, Financial Reporting & Analysis
Job Description:
- Support the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, reconciling accounts, and producing accurate financial statements
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and verify accuracy of the general ledger.
- Conduct variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Interpret contract language affecting Medicaid plans.
- Process invoice payments
- Assist with collections of outstanding Medicaid settlements
- Provide documentation and information for internal and external audits.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis within the controllership organization.
Requirements:
- Experience in Microsoft Excel; ability to work with large data sets and build/maintain complex spreadsheets.
- 1+ year of experience in accounting or finance with an emphasis on month end close and analysis
- Familiarity with financial systems or reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, Sequel, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, reliable work.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, including ability to summarize findings clearly.
