CNC Machinist - Early Career - Orlando
You will be an Early Career CNC Machinist for the Engineering & Prototype Laboratory (EPL) team working alongside and learning from highly experienced Machinists. Our team is responsible for delivering precision engineering and prototype fabrication support to the Research & Development (R&D) groups within Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control. What You Will Be Doing As a CNC Machinist you will be responsible for turning detailed drawings and 3D models into highquality prototype hardware in a Build to Print environment. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Planning, tooling, workholding, and fabricating fixtures for complex parts.
- Generating NC code using CAD/CAM software and verifying program accuracy.
- Operating 3axis CNC machines to produce precision components.
- Measuring and inspecting machined parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Collaborating with fellow Machinists and the EPL engineering staff to solve technical challenges.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN This position is located at a facility that requiresspecial access. Familiarity with CNC controls using EIA or Conversational programming Familiarity with EIA G & M Code programming. Familiarity with general Milling & Turning techniques. Experience with the use of Calipers, Micrometers and Indicators. Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hand Tool use experience. Experience working in a manufacturing environment Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. Citizens Technical Training & Certification in Machining from a Vocational or Trade School. 1 to 3 years experience working in a Job Shop Machining environment. HAAS or Mazak 3 to 5 Axis CNC Machine & Control experience. CAM Programming Experience. Use of general Shop equipment such as Band Saws, Drills, Grinders etc. Manual (Mill & Lathe) Machining Experience Cutting Tool and Holder knowledge and selection experience. Familiarity with Speeds and Feeds for Machining Aluminum. Familiarity with CAM Software, and the usage of or the computer skills to be able to learn how to utilize the software efficiently.
