Remote Medical Assistant – Diabetes Device Support
Company: Aegis Digital Health | SweetSpot Location: Remote
About Us
SweetSpot simplifies diabetes care by providing a single platform for healthcare practices to monitor patients using CGMs and insulin pumps. Our virtual clinical support team helps practices deliver timely, proactive diabetes management through streamlined remote data sharing and personalized patient outreach. We’re committed to improving health outcomes while reducing the burden on clinic staff. Position Overview We are seeking a Remote Medical Assistant – Diabetes Device Support to serve as the primary support contact for patient outreach and remote engagement at our partner clinics. This is an ideal role for Medical Assistants looking to transition into remote care and move into digital health and technology-enabled care, while continuing to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. In this role, you will leverage your clinical experience in a non–patient-facing environment, supporting patients over the phone as they enroll in and use diabetes monitoring technology such as CGMs and insulin pumps. You will manage patient outreach and engagement for a dedicated clinic, ensuring patients successfully onboard, stay connected, and receive ongoing support. What You’ll Do
- Act as the main point of contact for patients within your assigned clinic(s), providing ongoing phone-based support, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth experience with the program.
- Manage Patient Outreach & Engagement
- Own patient outreach efforts for your assigned clinic by conducting outbound calls, following up with patients, and driving enrollment and retention in the SweetSpot program.
- Lead Patient Education & Enrollment
- Educate patients on the value of remote monitoring, guide them through enrollment, and help them understand how their device data supports their care team.
- Assist patients with setting up and troubleshooting CGMs and insulin pumps (Dexcom, Libre, Tandem, Medtronic), including app setup, data sharing, and syncing issues.
- Apply your Medical Assistant or clinical support experience in a remote, technology-enabled environment.

- You are tech-fluent: You are familiar with platforms like Dexcom Clarity, LibreView, or CareLink and enjoy helping others use them. You’re interested in technology-enabled care and supporting patients between visits
- You are a "People Person": You are confident on the phone, can break down technical instructions into simple language, and provide reassuring, friendly support. You enjoy helping patients over the phone and explaining technical concepts in simple terms
