Marketing Promotions Analyst (Hybrid: M/F Remote)
Overview
This position is responsible for preparing and implementing marketing promotional plans for District Sales Meetings, Diagnostic Seminars, Loot, and other events. The role evaluates promotional performance, works with Product Management, Sales, and Purchasing Agents on product launches, and recommends changes to meet company goals. It also advises of relevant concerns and updates promotional plans based on market research and new trends. This is a hybrid position (Monday/Friday remote).
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of Matco’s promotional strategy. Design and implement reporting tools that track key metrics and trends, providing actionable insights to marketing leadership. Develop quantitative analysis, ad‑hoc reports, and models to support promotional decision making (e.g., purchase patterns, price elasticity, usage and engagement, revenue & margin). Use Vontier Business Systems (VBS) and other analysis tools daily to improve mix, margin, and promotional processes. Maintain accurate pricing for all promotional activities. Manage revenue & margin oversight, review pricing accuracy. Assist with other promotional vehicles including National Flyer, Annual Tool Expo, and others. Career Progression In‑role progression to Senior Analyst within 3–5 years. Other opportunities include Product Specialist or Digital Analyst within 2 years.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required – Marketing, Statistics, Finance, or Management preferred. 1–2 years of experience in a statistical marketing or analyst role preferred. Strong career ambition. Excel skills and strong knowledge of data reporting/mining software (Business Intelligence); AS/400 experience a plus. Direct experience analyzing and synthesizing large data sets to deliver results. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment; drive change and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Strong knowledge of financial statements, terminology (margin, PPV, etc.), and the business impact each has. History of delivering results with vision and purpose. Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels. Organizational agility, interpersonal, and political savvy to gain cooperation from departments that do not report directly to the position. Fit Factors Tenacity / Do what it takes. Compensation
Base salary range: $60,000 to $65,000 per annum, determined by experience, skills, location, credentials, and internal equity.
