E-Commerce Lead
E-Commerce Lead / Full-Time
- Remote / LATAM
About Rad Hires Rad Hires connects high-performing talent with ambitious teams that move fast and build things that matter. We partner with lean, client-driven organizations to find the kind of people who own outcomes, raise the bar, and make a real difference — not just fill a seat.
About the Role
Our client is a Shopify development and growth agency working with DTC and B2B brands in the 7–9 figure revenue range. They don't just build websites — they drive commercial outcomes for the brands they work with, across site architecture, performance marketing, email, and conversion strategy. They are hiring an E-Commerce Lead to run their main client pod. A senior Shopify Developer reports directly into this role. You will own a portfolio of client accounts end-to-end — strategy, roadmap, day-to-day relationships, and translating requirements into tickets your developer executes. You will be the senior point of contact on calls and accountable for retention and growth across your accounts. This is not a pure development role and it is not a pure account management role. It sits in between: you think like a business owner, speak the language of ecommerce P&L, and know Shopify inside out.
Responsibilities
- Lead client strategy across Shopify development and performance marketing engagements.
- Manage a senior Shopify developer — scope work, write clear tickets from client requirements, and direct implementation.
- Own commercial outcomes on your accounts: retention, expansion, and client results.
- Advise clients on site architecture, merchandising, conversion, and growth channel strategy.
- Troubleshoot issues across the Shopify admin, theme, and connected apps.
- Review and direct work across paid media, email, SMS, and on-site optimisation.
Requirements
Must-Have:
- 5+ years in ecommerce, agency-side strongly preferred.
- A demonstrated portfolio of high-end Shopify sites — sites you helped build from the ground up, upgraded, or maintained — with measurable outcomes (AOV growth, CVR improvement, revenue results).
- Strong commercial understanding: ecommerce P&L, CVR, AOV, CPA, new customer CPA, incremental revenue growth, and how ad attribution works in practice.
- Expert knowledge of the standard Shopify stack: Shopify and Shopify Plus, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Klaviyo, review and loyalty apps (Yotpo, Smile.io, Reviews.io), AI chat tools, and quiz apps such as Octane AI.
- Technical fluency on Shopify: section and block architecture in modern themes, when to build native vs. use apps, Shopify Plus capabilities including checkout extensibility, account page and thank-you page customisation, and B2B features.
- Comfortable specifying work that uses the Storefront and Admin GraphQL APIs.
- Understanding of Git-based theme deployment and version control workflows.
- Able to design best-practice product, collection, and home page layouts.
- Able to diagnose Shopify backend and admin issues — not just theme bugs.
- Client-facing presence: you can run calls independently and own a relationship with a 7–9 figure brand.
Nice to Have:
- B2B Shopify experience.
- Exposure to AI search visibility, structured data, or agentic commerce.
- Prior experience managing developers or small teams.
This Role Is Not For:
- Pure Shopify developers with no client-facing or commercial experience.
- Account managers or project managers with no hands-on Shopify depth.
- Generalist digital marketers without a strong Shopify track record.
- Anyone who cannot show a portfolio with real, measurable ecommerce results.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate in USD
- Remote and flexible working environment
- Full time / EST
