Key Responsibilities

As a Principal Data Scientist within the arenaflex client-facing data science team, you'll combine your passion for practicing data science with sharing the insights you uncover with customers. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Improved Data Science Craft: Answer client business questions using data science methods and tools, ideate on potential approaches, and select the most appropriate methods to solve the problem.
• Story-telling with Insights: Deliver actionable and insightful presentations to our key customers undergirded by predictive, explanatory, and/or descriptive analyses.
• Client Relationships: Build relationships with key clients and internal counterparts.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing improvements in data science methods, tools, visualizations, and ways of working that compellingly provide key insights.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with leaders across different functions to develop and execute multidisciplinary solutions and improve the customer experience.

How You’ll Grow

As a Principal Data Scientist on our Customer Intelligence team, you'll have opportunities to enhance your data science skills, coding abilities, and presentation skills. You'll also have the chance to grow your client engagement skills through frontline client exposure, learning to scope, discuss, and deliver data-driven insights to customers from executives to CX/EX leaders to insights experts and client data scientists.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for a seasoned data scientist with a strong background in data science, statistics, and analytics. Your ideal profile should include:

Graduate degree in a technical field

(statistics, data science, analytics, mathematics, social science, etc.)

Demonstrated knowledge of both the theory and practice of data science

(with strength in explanatory/inferential and predictive statistics)

10+ years delivering data-driven insights to stakeholders

(internal or external)

10+ years experience wrangling data focused on human-centered business problems

4+ years hands-on coding experience in R

Solid understanding of rigorous research methodology

, e.g., survey design and experimental design

4+ years work experience as a client-facing data scientist/analytical consultant

Demonstrated history of working successfully with external/internal clients

as evidenced by strong Data Science project work and impact

Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear, concise, and compelling composition

Strong writing and presentation skills

Able to build trusted, peer relationships with clients

* Ability to communicate effectively to both highly academic and business (non-academic) audiences
