Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and processing medical records and claims information from clients
- Entering data into our systems, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Processing new cases, logging information, and moving it through to the next stage
- Utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel to create and edit documents, as well as generating PDFs and inserting tables
- Maintaining awareness of HIPAA regulations and ensuring the confidentiality and security of sensitive information
- Collaborating with our team to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during the data entry process
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a data entry or administrative role
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality and security
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with data entry, claims processing, and medical records management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience working with diagnosis codes, claims, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and column insertion
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience working in a remote environment, with a strong ability to self-motivate and work independently

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
