The Role
As a Customer Support Representative, you will play a critical role in providing essential support to individuals enrolling in public benefit programs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Answering inbound calls and interacting with customers in a professional, empathetic, and compassionate manner
- Providing information in accordance with established policies, procedures, and privacy laws
- Assisting customers with program enrollment and routing them to the appropriate contacts via three-way calls
- Utilizing multiple computer systems to access data and document information
- Making outbound calls as needed to share time-sensitive information with customers
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong active listening skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in PC skills, including the ability to quickly learn new computer applications
- Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
Your Home Office Environment
As a remote independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home office. To ensure your success, we require that you have:
- A computer with Windows 10 or 11, 8GB of RAM, and a hard drive with at least 500MB of free space
- Up-to-date antivirus software and high-speed, hardwired internet
- Dual monitors and a USB noise-cancelling headset
- Webcam for certification experience
